Twilio error 30034: Message from an unregistered number

US carriers block texts sent from a 10-digit number that isn’t linked to an approved A2P 10DLC campaign.

How to fix error 30034

  1. Register your brand and an A2P campaign
  2. Add the number to the campaign’s messaging service
  3. Wait for approval before sending again

Common causes

  • The 10-digit number was never added to an A2P 10DLC campaign
  • The brand or campaign is still pending, so the number isn't covered yet
  • The number was added to a messaging service that isn't linked to the approved campaign
  • A campaign was deleted or expired and the number was left behind

How to stop it happening again

  • Register a brand and campaign before you start texting from any new local number
  • Keep every sending number inside the messaging service tied to the approved campaign
  • Check the campaign status in Twilio before launching a new number or a new workflow

How long does a fix take?

Once a campaign is approved, linking the number takes minutes. A new registration usually takes a few days to two weeks.
